Blues Lake in Missouri. Blues Lake is a small, man-made lake located in St. Louis County, Missouri. The lake was created in the 1930s as a Works Progress Administration project during the Great Depression. It covers just over 12 acres and has a maximum depth of 12 feet. Blues Lake is a popular spot for fishing and has an abundance of bass, crappie, and catfish. There is also a public boat ramp and a picnic area with grills available for use.
